Meet Your Chef

Chef Tzeni prepares and serves exquisite dinners to parties at your home, business or private catering event. Her blend of Greek Traditional-Mediterranean cuisine draws on a lifetime of skills and the knowledge that all meals, no matter how large or how small, are special events among family and friends.

My Story

Although I was born in Norwood, Boston, USA, I spent a short period as a child in Kalloni Lesvos with my grandmother Sappho until my parents returned from the USA and we finally moved to Athens where I grew up . After finishing high school, I got married, moved to Tripoli, Peloponnese, and there I had my daughter Matina. Until then I had nothing to do with the kitchen, I didn't even know how to boil an egg. Of course, as a Greek mother and wife, there was no way I wouldn't learn to cook, so with the help of my mother-in-law but also by reading various cookbooks of the time, I started my first attempts. When my little girl was in the Girl Scouts where I was a troop leader, at one camp the Cook got sick. So we had to do something about the children's food, someone had to cook. No one was taking responsibility. If we didn't find someone we would have to leave and the trip would be over, can you imagine what that would mean for the kids, big disappointment. So I decided to take over the cooking and let's continue like that. So it happened and we spent the rest of the days as planned. Somewhere there begins the love affair with cooking. My excitement was great that I succeeded so I decided to look into it more, I was influenced by the fact that I saw these happy children's faces eating my food and smiling, they loved it!!! So I decided to go one step further. I went to the State School of Tourism Professions of Greece, to the Department of Cooks to acquire knowledge and techniques beyond what I knew until then. Of course, I had already worked professionally in cooking because, as we said before, the germ had entered me and it was very intense. That was it, the rest pretty much came by itself. Hotels, restaurants, catering, events, exhibitions, tables and cooking of all kinds from many countries and cultures, for few, many and even too many people, alone or with a group of excellent partners. So far this is my beautiful journey in the world of cooking that I hope continues with the same love, imagination and fun for food that I still have today.

Kostas Giannakis

I was born and raised in Athens, Greece. My roots trace back to the beautiful region of Minor Asia and the scenic Peloponnese, known for its rich culinary heritage and delicious traditional dishes.

Growing up, I was surrounded by the mouth-watering aromas and flavors of Greek cuisine, and I was particularly influenced by the BBQ traditions and techniques of my ancestors. I learned the art of charcoal grilling and smoking meat and fish from a young age, and it quickly became a passion of mine.

As a private chef with experience in villas, I specialize in creating unique and delicious BBQ, meat, and fish dishes that are infused with the flavors and traditions of my homeland. I use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients, and I am dedicated to showcasing Greece's diverse and rich culinary heritage.

Whether you're hosting a small intimate dinner party or a large event, I am committed to providing an unforgettable dining experience for you and your guests. From traditional Greek BBQ dishes such as Souvlaki and Gyros to grilled fish and meats with a modern twist, I will work with you to create a customized menu that fits your preferences and dietary needs.

I am excited to share my passion and expertise in Greek BBQ, meat, and fish with you and introduce you to my homeland's delicious flavors and traditions.

Tonia Kotsovelou

I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Tripoli Arcadia in the Peloponnese. My family roots trace back to Asia Minor through my mother's side. As a child, I grew up with the delicious aromas of my great-grandmother's cooking, who hailed from the city of Izmir, and her exquisite tables. These early experiences with cooking inspired me to start honing my skills in the kitchen from a very young age, learning not only from my great-grandmother but also through the traditional Peloponnesian recipes of my family.

Despite pursuing a degree in Business Administration and working professionally in Public Relations, my passion for cooking never waned. I continued to pursue my culinary interests in my free time, developing my skills in private. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to enter the tourism industry, and for the past few years, I have been a proud member of Tzeni's Kitchen team.

My true calling, however, is in private cooking. I have had the pleasure of cooking for many families and groups, giving them a taste of genuine Greek hospitality. It would be my pleasure to share my passion with you as well. So, allow me to bring my culinary skills and experience to your villa, where I can prepare delicious dishes and create an unforgettable dining experience.

Anna Sideri

I am born and raised in Athens, Greece. My cooking style is a reflection of my unique upbringing, with my grandmother's recipes and my travels serving as my primary sources of inspiration. My grandmother hails from Asia Minor, and her traditional recipes and techniques have been passed down through the generations, forming the foundation of my cooking style.

In addition to my grandmother's recipes, I draw inspiration from my travels throughout Asia. I have had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of dishes from different cultures, each one leaving a lasting impression on me. The flavors, spices, and cooking techniques I've encountered have helped to shape my culinary identity and add an exciting twist to my traditional Greek dishes.

My passion for Latin America, and Brazil in particular, has also had a significant impact on my cooking. My husband is Brazilian, and his family has introduced me to the unique flavors of Brazilian cuisine. I've incorporated these flavors into my cooking, creating a fusion of Greek, Asian, and Latin American cuisine. I currently work as a private chef in villas in Paros and Antiparos.
